“I’ll definitely pass your information on to as many people as I can!  I meant to tell you this a while ago, but my SAT score went from a 1730 to a 1970 after taking your class.  Clearly, it was an extremely beneficial prep class and I want to say thank you again for all of your help!  I ended up receiving the Presidential Scholarship from Gettysburg College, a scholarship that is highly based on SAT scores.  This was all thanks to your help! :) –Katie Lang, Kennebunk

“Our son’s experience with Jack Mahoney couldn’t have been better. Jack helped Will to raise his SAT scores by almost 200 points, and he taught him how to think critically in the meantime!”–Kathleen and Ken Pierce, Cape Elizabeth

For Parents of Sophomores

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

We have noticed that those test-takers who achieve maximum score increases usually do so over the course of several test administrations.  Therefore, we we suggest that families who are looking for maximal score increases consider starting prep before the junior PSAT and then continuing it before the January or March SAT.  One student with whom we are currently working has seen his sophomore PSATs, which were in the low 60s, turn into junior PSATs in the high 60s, and then January SATs in the low 700s.  This sort of incremental but eventually large score increase (290 points so far) is typical and here’s why:  We can usually attain only what we consider to be possible.  Each time we experience even a mild rise in score, we have a new higher platform from which to survey our future prospects; in other words, scores that once looked unattainable now look possible.
